Problem
The GM engines intake manifold has plastic bushings to control the swirl flaps, over time they wear out due to continuous movement. The rod that controls the movement of the swirl flaps eventually falls off, causing an engine management light, poor idling, high fuel consumption and smoke from the exhaust.
Solution
We have manufactured a brand new replacement bar just like the original with uprated bushes. The bushes are a snap in design just like the original but with higher quality plastic and tighter tolerances to suit used manifold swirl flap nipples. So even if your swirl nipples have worn down our snap in design will still work for, a huge advantage over the brass bushed version which is a press fit rather than a snap fit.
